Data availibility
All recorded seismological data is stored locally on flash cards inside the data loggers. In approximately half-year intervals the cards are exchanged and the data is permanently stored in our department server.
Additionally, all stations send the recorded data in real-time to our department using the cellular phone network. This data is automatically forwarded to ZAMG and the european Orfeus Data Center. The transmission of live data usually works reliably, however due to connection losses or weak cellular signal there might be gaps in the transmitted live data.
The following graphs visualize the completeness of real-time data transmitted since January 2016. All graphs were created with the ObsPy Software.
At this moment, all recorded data is exclusively available for research groups which are actively involved in the AlpArray project. Please visit the AlpArray Initiative homepage for further details on data access.
