Inspired by an XKCD comic describing the Saturn V Rocket using only the 1000 most common English words, the Up-Goer Five challenge has become part of several scientific conferences in recent years. A team of four conveners (including two from our department) brought it to the EGU General Assembly this year. The challenge is a fun way of rethinking your research and improving your communication skills. More details can be found here.
The call for abstracts is open until 10 January, 13:00CET. If you would like to participate in the challenge, submit an abstract here.
