The historical development and the present state of geophysical institutions was subject of an exhibition at the 73rd DGG Annual Conference 2013 in Leipzig. Geophysical Institute, observatories, state offices and companies contributed posters of historical milestones and current research and work focuses. Throughout the conference, the exhibition was a popular meeting place, and after the meeting, the response was very positive.
