AlpArray will construct a large-scale mobile broadband seismological network, to study the subsurface structure and the geodynamics of the Alps.It will in particular shed light on the geological structure and geodynamical evolution of the Eastern Alps and the subsurface of Austria, utilizing seismic analysis methods such as shear wave splitting, receiver functions, and tomography (more about the project)
