On april 8-12, the European Geosciences Union Meeting was held in Vienna, and our university was well-represented there, in particular in the fields of structural geology, physical geography, and geophysics.
In the previous year, there had been 13528 papers given at the conference, by 11275 participants. Austria was the 6th most represented country, after Germany, the UK, Italy, France, and the USA. This annual EGU conference will be held in Vienna also in the next five years.
