"CTBT Advanced Science Course" in Vienna

13.12.2011

From 28th November to 9th December scientists and diplomats from nearly 100 countries met in Vienna to bridge the gap between science and politics. Prof. Bokelmann, Ms. Apoloner and Mr. Gerner from the Department of Meteorology and Geophysics used this special opportunity to deepen their knowledge of the technical and scientific aspects of the CTBT.

The focus was not only to learn about the work and function of the CTBTO but to show the civilian uses like tsunami warning as well. In addition to the various excursions and lectures, there was also the opportunity to submit project proposals.
