In his work, he has devoted himself to the deep structure of the Vienna Basin, which he resolved from the study of ambient noise. He has also studied Alland's earthquake series and seismic anisotropy, using ambient noise. The latter shows the orientation of the mechanical stress fieldin the region, and it indicates deformation in the deeper crust, as can be expected from the "eastward extrusion" of the Eastern Alps. The three papers from his dissertation have already been published.
