Among a total of 150 people attending to the meeting, the Department of Meteorology and Geophysics was very well represented by 23 participants. Two young members of the department obtained high ranks in the poster prizes awared by the Austrian Meteorological Society. Sarah Umdasch presenting a poster on "Forecast quality of high-resolution NWP models during MAP D-Phase" made the first place, worth 300 €. Andrea Steiner was awared the third prize, worth 100 €, for her poster on "Quality control of VERA: operational application, challenges in complex terrain and extensions of VERA-QC".
