2nd International FLEXPART Training Course

07.04.2014

The 2nd International FLEXPART Training Course is to be held from 4 to 6 June 2014 at the Department of Meteorology and Geophysics.

FLEXPART is a freely available Lagrangian particle dispersion model. It is widely used for research and operational applications, in the context of atmospheric problems from mesoscale to global scale. FLEXPART is primarily designed for ECMWF model level and GFS pressure level input data. Ports exist for several limited-area models, inter alia MM5, WRF, COSMO, ALADIN. The main developer is Andreas Stohl (Norwegian Institute for Air Research (NILU)).

The 2nd Internation FLEXPART Training Course will take place from 4 to 6 June 2014 at the Department of Meteorology and Geophysics. Students can validate participation in the course as a practicum. All interested persons, please subscribe to the course via email to Delia Arnold.

Further information on the course can be found on the pages of Prof. Petra Seibert
